The Forgotten was an Opposition group that was intended to be featured in RPG Season 4. Although the group was scripted, time constraints caused their scenes to be abandoned. They were created by Adam Battersby.

The concept involved Balwin and Neythor, who were 'forgotten' dead souls who had yet to pass to the other side. Adam, who originally created the characters, had envisioned them to look like Ringwraiths from Lord of the Rings [See: Tolkien]. Their main aura would be threatening, as they could drain life force and possess other characters.

During filming in the Adelphi Building Basement, the decision was made to delete the group from the Season, as they had no crossovers with any other character. On the final day of filming, one last attempt was made to resurrect the characters.

The one scene filmed featured Balwin, played by Adam ("...a character you might never see since we didn't film the group") and Neythor, played by Matt, who described the experience as "a very bizarre scene me and Adam attempted". Like many other early RPG characters, the actors were under black cloaks, except crouching, so appeared closer to the ground than others.

Pooka, who was due to play Neythor, was originally the one who suggested the RPG team abandon the group. The concept was jettisoned soon afterwards, as they did not appear in RPG Season 5.

Effectively, The Forgotten have been forgotten.
